Step into a world where imagination knows no bounds with Checkmate the Musical, an original, immersive theatre experience by Collab Company, playing at IMMERSEE in Dubai’s Sustainable City from June 13–15, 2025.

Devised and directed by Lauren Noble, this musical in the round invites audiences of all ages to tumble down the rabbit hole and into a live chessboard universe, where beloved characters from Wonderland—The Cheshire Cat, The Dormouse, and Absolem the Caterpillar—collide with a bold cast of Kings, Queens, Bishops, and Pawns. At the heart of the story is Alice, leading the way through a Mad Hatter's tea party like no other, as fantasy and reality blur into a fully interactive art and theatre spectacle.

Infused with iconic music from Lady Gaga, Madonna, The Eurythmics, and Ekaterina Shelehova, the show is as much a sonic experience as it is a visual one, elevated by the powerful vocals and striking choreography of its cast. Under the musical direction of Aimee Khalifa, each number pulses with drama, humor, and unexpected twists.

More than a performance, Checkmate is a 360° theatrical journey in which audiences are not just spectators—they’re players in the game.
