Dubai made this podcast happen!
Culture Mapping is a podcast where the hosts interact with Dubai-based entrepreneurs, innovators, and artists about how their native culture and the cultures of the places they have lived in affect how they work, communicate, and build partnerships and teams.
“Dubai made this podcast happen,” said Konstantin Koloskov and Anastasia Davydova, Dubai-based entrepreneurs and hosts of Culture Mapping, a podcast that celebrates the cultural diversity in the UAE. On to its second season now, the podcast is #10 on Apple Podcasts MENA, with 10,000+ listeners as its captive audience. It can be tuned into across all leading audio platforms, including, but not limited to, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Podbean, Overcast, Podcast Addict, PodLink, and more. “The podcast is about how representatives of different nations coexist in the global environment. The heroes of the episodes talk about the habits they brought from their countries, difficulties, and discoveries made outside their own culture," they explained. They hosted 11 interesting guests previously and are optimistic about the following season.

So, what is Culture Mapping?
Culture Mapping is a podcast where the hosts interact with Dubai-based entrepreneurs, innovators, and artists about how their native culture and the cultures of the places they have lived in affect how they work, communicate, and build partnerships and teams. This show is created by Storm, a podcast production studio, and movingo, an all-in-one platform for business setup & entrepreneur relocation.
There would have been no "Culture Mapping" without Dubai.
"The two of us ended up in the same place, which was a starting point. Second and most importantly, we are in a historical era when the Middle East, particularly Dubai, connects many cultures. So, of course, it was wiser, easier, and more relevant to launch the conversations in Dubai," said Konstantin. "You can find people of any nationality in Dubai. What more could we ask for?" said Anastasia. They dedicated Season One to those who live here, but the project's main idea is still universal — to show that you can and should travel and be open to other cultures and nationalities because you can learn a lot.
Throughout its first season, Culture Mapping explored the fascinating personal and professional journeys of entrepreneurs, artists, innovators, and thinkers who have made the UAE their home. From an architect's vision of Dubai's evolving urban landscape to the innovative breakthroughs in food, each episode highlighted how culture, identity, and entrepreneurship intersect in this dynamic region.

What makes Culture Mapping so vital for the UAE—and why the world should tune in—is its commitment to openness. The podcast isn't just about hearing stories but building bridges between cultures and showing how these exchanges shape individual success stories. It highlights the UAE's role as a crossroads where East meets West, creating a space where innovation and tradition thrive. With its thoughtful exploration of multiculturalism, entrepreneurship, and innovation, Culture Mapping offers valuable insights into how people navigate life in the UAE. It promotes the philosophy that cultural differences are not barriers but gateways to deeper understanding, creativity, and collaboration. This is why the world should know about Culture Mapping—it's a powerful reminder of the strength of diversity and the endless possibilities of connecting across cultures.
What may one expect in Season 2?
Season One’s episodes were released in audio format; the following season (coming soon!) may also be released simultaneously in the video format.
When shortlisting guests for the podcast, there are a few key considerations. “First and foremost, guests must be expats living in the UAE. Additionally, they should be open to discussing cultural differences candidly. We're looking for individuals engaged in meaningful work, diverse cultural experiences, and interacting with people from various backgrounds. It's essential that they embrace all aspects of living in a culturally rich and diverse environment like the UAE — the experiences, lessons, and emotions that come with it — without bias or judgment. We aim to address cultural stereotypes thoughtfully, with knowledge, sensitivity, and an open mind,” they added.
So, are you ready?
